ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
I’m married to my husband of 30 years, Alan, and have lived in the area for 30 years, including 6 years in Parker. We own a Jimmy John’s franchise, and I currently work at Communities Foundation of Texas using my 25 years of Human Resources and community building experience.
I am a member of the Parker Women’s Club and volunteer with Dallas Street Dog Advocates and am on the steering committee for Hope’s Door Domestic Violence Agency’s 40th anniversary celebration.
Ask me about my tuxedo cat, Jelli!
In my 6 years of city council experience in a neighboring community, I was a part of:
-
Hiring a City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge
-
Building relationships with neighboring cities and government agencies (TxDOT, County)
-
Reducing legal fees by one-third and dealt with multiple lawsuit dismissals and two settlements with less than $20K in lawsuit payouts
-
Reviewing, discussing, debating and approving the annual budget and tax rate
-
Reviewing and approving planned development districts
-
Considering and approving Extra Territorial Jurisdiction acquisitions, including development and non-development agreements
-
Regularly (all but 3 meetings) preparing, attending and participating in meetings.
My Goals

-
Prioritize city attention to infrastructure like roads and drainage
-
Take visible action on citizens’ safety and wellness concerns, including neighborhood nuisances like speeding and noise
-
Invest in our city employees so they can continue to be responsive and support of our community as it grows
-
Hire experienced City Administrator and City Attorney
-
Provide appropriately sized and priced city offices
-
-
Maintain the quality and integrity of our community
-
Address annexation of Extra Territorial Jurisdictions and the potential for creating Planned Development Districts.
-
Openly consider Home Rule / City Charter with a vote from the residents
-
-
Participate in a council that discusses, debates and decides issues
